2. Instead of the Conditions, which are embodied in the form of Agreement lately in use, the Policemen thereafter enlisted are now to sign the amended Conditions, copy of which is enclosed; & it is considered best that it should be made clear to all candidates that the selected recruits will not receive pensions after only 10 Year's service, unless compelled to retire by reason of ill health, and may perhaps be required to serve for pension as long as members of other Depts in the Gov. service.
3. His Lordship has extended the leave of absence granted to Inspector Frey with half salary for 2 months from
